Glen Mustard, age, 88, of Silver Creek, died Saturday, November 18, 2017 at his home.
Glen E. Mustard was born June 8, 1929 near Havens, Nebraska to Glen and Mary (Hinkle) Mustard. He graduated from Silver Creek High School in 1947. After graduation he worked at Wilson Packing Co. in Omaha. Glen returned to Silver Creek and worked for Eddies Gas Station. He joined the Army and served during the Korean War from 1951-1954. He spent time in Ft. Riley during basic training. He then was shipped to Ft. Bragg for Jump School Training. He later went to cook school and spent the rest of his enlistment as a cook. He returned to Silver Creek where he returned to Eddies. He married Elizabeth Cave on June 25, 1955 at St. Rose of Lima Catholic Church in Genoa. Glen worked at Behlen Manufacturing from 1961 until his retirement in 1991. He was a member of American Legion Post #263 in Silver Creek. He enjoyed working on his property and mowing.
