Gertrude Schefcick

Gertrude F. Schefcick, 84, of Columbus died Sunday, July 27, 2003 at Mory's Haven in Columbus. Services are 10:30 am Thursday July 31, 2003 at St. Isidore Catholic Church with the Rev. Joseph Miksch officiating. Visitation will be on Wednesday from 4 -8 pm at McKown Funeral Home with a Vigil service at 8:00 pm, also at the funeral home. Visitation continues Thursday morning from 8-10 am at McKown Funeral Home. Interment will be in St. Bonaventure Cemetery.

Gertrude F. Paprocki, was born February 22, 1919 in Tarnov, Ne. to Frank and Mary (Shemek) Paprocki. She attended school in Tarnov and later married Steve Schefcick on June 17, 1946 in Cedar Rapids, Ne. They lived in Columbus, Ne, moved to California and later returned to Columbus where she worked along with her husband as a custodian at First National Bank. She was a member of St. Isidore Catholic Church, and Christian Mothers.

She enjoyed visiting with others and helping Shut-Ins.

She is survived by:

Four Grandchildren and Several Great Grandchildren
Many Nieces and Nephews
