Gertrude E. Louis age 93 of Columbus died Tuesday, February 14, 2006 at the Columbus Community Hospital. Funeral services are 10:30 a.m. Friday, February 17, 2006 at St. Bonaventure Catholic Church. The Rev Tom Weisbecker will officiate. Visitation is Thursday 4-8 p.m. at the McKown Funeral Home. A vigil will be held Thursday evening at 7:00 p.m. Visitation will continue Friday morning 8-10 a.m. all at the funeral home. Burial will be in the Schuyler Cemetery. Memorials are suggested to St. Bonaventure Catholic Church.
Gertrude E. Louis was born August 28, 1912 in Colfax County to Anton and Odelia (Kunkle) Svatora. She received her education in Schuyler and graduated from Schuyler High School in 1931. She was maried to Herbert Louis on November 10, 1937. They later divorced. She worked at General Telephone, Gray's Radio and Brenner Furniture as a bookkeeper before her retirement. She was a member of St. Bonaventure Catholic Church, St. Bonaventure Guild and 3rd Order F.M.U.
She was preceded in death by her parents, daughter: Carol Ann and 1 brother:Theodore.
