Geraldine "Sis" Hoppe died Thursday, December 3, 2009 at the Golden Living Center in Schuyler, Nebraska.
Geraldine "Sis" Elizabeth Hoppe was born March 5, 1918 in Polk County, Nebraska to Jesse and Clara (Ernst) Olcott. In 1931 the family moved to Loup City. In 1935 Sis graduated from Loup City High School and moved to Columbus. She stayed with Grandma Ernst, Aunt Mabel and Uncle Roy for four years. She worked for Lee and Clara Ernst at their grocery store. She also helped take care of Jim Sr. Sis married Louis Hoppe on October 22, 1940 in Columbus, Nebraska. They lived and farmed in Colfax County until moving into Schuyler in 1985. She was a member of St. Lukes UCC, Eastern Star and the Eagles Auxiliary in Schuyler.
She is survived by:
