Funeral Services are 10:30 a.m. Friday, January 5, 2024 at the McKown Funeral Home. Visitation is Thursday 5-7 p.m. at the McKown Funeral Home.  There will be a 7:00 p.m. vigil service Thursday evening. Interment will be in the St. Lawrence Catholic Cemetery

Gerry Warnick passed away suddenly Friday December 29th, 2023. Gerald "Gerry" Eugene Warnick was born June 5th, 1965 in Columbus, NE to Earl A. Warnick and Leona M. (Miller) Warnick. He was raised in Columbus and attended Columbus schools, graduating in 1984. Shortly after graduation Gerry married Sheri Klaudt. To this marriage two daughters were born, Toni and Lindsay Warnick. On September 21th, 1991 Gerry was united in marriage to Pamala Roberts at St. Isidore Catholic Church. Within this union, Miranda and Blaize Warnick were born.

Gerry was a very hard worker, and was employed in Columbus from C-K Planing, Becton Dickinson to Long John Silvers. Gerry loved having a good time, hunting, fishing, playing chess and spending time with his family. He passed his knowledge and stories to everyone and would always take the shirt off his back for strangers. He tinkered around on one project or another and never let life get him down.

Gerry is survived by his children; Toni Max, Lindsay (Nathan) Thomson, Miranda (Tyler Smith) Warnick and Blaize Warnick. Grandchildren; Leah and Justin Max; Dezmond, Ezra, Chevelle and Clayton Thomson; Hendryx Warnick, Marley Warnick, Creedance Smith, and Evelyn Smith; Skylar Bader. Siblings; Leon (Cindy) Warnick and Lori Olson both of Columbus. Half brothers; Arthur Warnick of Lincoln, Jimmy Warnick of Rising City, step-brother Shaun (Michelle) McComb and stepmother Dawn Warnick of Monroe. Also an aunt, uncle, cousins, numerous nieces and nephews and great nieces and nephews.

He is preceded in death by parents, Earl and Leona Warnick, stepmother Linda Warnick, sister Jolene Bryant, half brother Timothy Warnick, step-brother, Brandon McComb and grandparents; Esther and Felix Kieltyka, Loren and Frances Miller.
