Gerald Cook of Columbus died Friday, February 13, 2015 in Omaha at the home of his daughter, Anna (Wemhoff) Quiroz.
Gerald "Jerry" Cook was born January 18, 1961 in Columbus to Norman and Deloras (Dieter) Cook. He grew up in Monroe and graduated from Monroe High School in 1979. Jerry worked in the restaurant industry starting at the age of 15. He moved to Omaha in the mid 80s where he lived for 28 years. Jerry worked at various restaurants in Omaha including Omaha Prime, Spezia, Wheatfield's, Plank, Ryan's Bistro, Mark's Bistro, Garden Cafe, and at the Marriott. He loved gardening, music, dancing, his pets, and most importantly spending time with his family and grandchildren. Jerry was a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Omaha and St. Isidore Catholic Church in Columbus. He was also a member of the Knights of Columbus.
Jerry was a socialite who loved to interact with people. He could always put a smile on their face and make them laugh.

Grandchildren Jackson, Elijah, and Kennedy Quiroz of Omaha
Sister Bonnie Swanson of Columbus
Nephew Brandon Cook of Columbus
