Georgia Beard of Omaha died September 15, 2023 .

Mass of Christian Burial is 10:30 a.m. Thursday, October 5, 2023 at St. Anthony Catholic Church. Visitation is 5-7 p.m. Wednesday, October 4, 2023 at McKown Funeral Home. There will be a 7:00 p.m. vigil service also at the funeral home.

Georgia Beard was born October 22, 1948 in Honolulu, Hawaii Territory to George and Anna Marie (Greisen) Beard. She grew up in Columbus and graduated from Scotus Central Catholic High School in 1967. She received her nursing education in Omaha and worked for many years as a registered nurse at Bergan Mercy Hospital in many capacities. Georgia enjoyed her nephews and their families.

She was preceded in death by her parents.
