George died Thursday, October 2, 2014 at the Golden Living Center in Columbus.
George K. Soulliere was born March 30, 1927 in Platte Center, Nebraska to George E. and Anna (Micek) Soulliere. He graduated from Platte Center High School in 1947 and attended Barber School. George served in the U.S. Navy during WWII from December 1944 - July 1946 in the South Pacific attaining the rank of Fireman 1st Class. On May 3, 1958 He was united in marriage to Betty J. Ignarski at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Platte Center. George barbered in Platte Center and Columbus for 43 years. He was a member of St. Joseph Church where he served on the Church Council and as an usher. He was a 69 year member of the American Legion Parry Post #263 in Platte Center serving as Past Commander and on the firing squad until his health declined. George enjoyed fishing, reading and spending time with his family.
