George Schultz

George Schultz of Columbus died Sunday, September 10, 2023 at his home.

Funeral services are 1:00 p.m. Wednesday, September 13, 2023 at the McKown Funeral Home. Visitation is Wednesday 11:00 a.m. until service time. Interment will be in the Schuyler Cemetery.

George Schultz was born November 1, 1943 in Columbus, Nebraska to Fred and Claudia (Chollar) Schultz.  He grew up in Norfolk and Columbus. He was united in marriage to Linda Sutherland in 1968 in El Paso, Illinois. They lived in Schuyler and Columbus. George worked as an over the road truck driver and construction worker for various companies.

George is survived by:

Son: Troy (Theresa) Schultz

Son: Brian (sara) Schultz

daughter: Tammy (Chad) Micek

11 grandchildren     3 great grandchildren

Brothers: Herb and Don Schultz

Sisters Shirley (Bob) Durko, Janet Longnecker

He is preceded in death by his parents, brother: Fred Schultz, sisters: Darlene Schultz, Avis Bernius, Roberta Lovell
