Gaye Slovinski

Gaye Lynn Slovinski, age 61, of Stillwater, OK died in her home on Monday, April 29th, 2013.

Mrs. Slovinski was born December 30th 1951 in Columbus, NE to Milton and Laura Sullivan, Gaye graduated from Lakeview high school in May of 1970 and on October 24, 1970 she married Robert J. Slovinski at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Platte Center, NE. Gaye was mother to three children Robert Bradley, Sara Anne, and Christina Gaye Slovinski. Gaye was also grandmother to four children and one great grandchild.

Gaye lived in Columbus for much of her life working as a faithful and loving wife and mother until moving to Olathe, KS in 1986. While living in Olathe she obtained a Business Administration Certificate and worked as an accountant, in 1992 Gaye moved back to Columbus so her husband could spend the last years of his life close to his family. She cared for Robert until he passed away in 1994. Gaye moved to Stillwater in 2001 worked as a Certified Nurse Assistant and enjoyed helping the sick and elderly, she obtained the Medical Administration Certificate while in Stillwater.

Gaye had many hobbies that she enjoyed some include painting, jewelry making, stained glass, quilting and other sewing, making glass beads, antiques, gardening, flowers, especially orchids, and like her father, Milton, a love for all animals. Humming birds and dogs were her favorite.

Survivors include: Mother - Laura Sulllivan, Sisters - Penny Conrad of Canton, Ga., Shelia Kassen of Scottsdale, Az., Sharon Wemhoff of Platte Center, Kim Roberts of West Plains, MO
Children- Brad Slovinski and Christina Slovinski
Grandchildren- Dakota Cermak, Conagher Cermak, Samantha Slovinski, and Iyahnah Shewey
Great Grandchild- Evan Cermak

Gaye was preceded in death by: Father - Milton Sullivan, Husband - Robert Slovinski,and Daughter - Sara Slovinski
