Gary Loseke

Gary (Chief) Loseke of Monroe, Ne died Friday, Dec. 5th, 2025 at his home.

To honor the wishes of Gary, there will be no service.

Gary Arthur Loseke was born September 15th 1946 in Columbus, NE to Arthur and Loretta (Brauner) Loseke. He was baptized and confirmed at Zion Lutheran, Grand Prairie, Platte Center, NE. Gary graduated from Monroe High School in 1964 and graduated from the University of Nebraska-Lincoln. He was a life- long resident of the Platte Center and Monroe areas where he first worked for Monroe Construction then after, at the Co-op. Gary drove an applicator/floater for many years then later on, along with fertilizer companies, helped design the computer program regarding application and grid sampling. He enjoyed the outdoors; hunting, fishing, gardening and watching sports on TV.

Gary is survived by daughter, Dawn (Rob) Pecor of Bennington,NE, daughter, Tonya (Dustin) Oppliger of Blair, NE and daughter, Brooke (Jeff) Walters of Omaha, NE. 6 grandchildren , brother, Roger (Patty) Loseke of Monroe, NE and 3 nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents: Loretta (1971) and Arthur (2012), brother, Dale Loseke (2021) and nephew, Cody Loseke (2013).
