Gary Drum of Norfolk died Wednesday, March 14 at Faith Regional in Norfolk.
Gary Drum was born January 16, 1948 in Columbus to Neal and Bonnie (Murray) Drum. He served in the US Navy from October of 1967 until October of 1975. Gary married Susan Slade. They later divorced but to this marriage, three sons were born, Shawn, Thad, and Cory. Gary worked on the east coast for ITT. For the last fifteen years, Gary has been a resident of the Norfolk Veterans Home.
Gary is survived by:
Sons Thad and Cory Drum of Michigan
Sister Georgia Jasper of Columbus
Brother Greg (Denette) Drum of Columbus
Sister Gerri (Chuck) Putnam of Columbus
and many nieces and nephews
He is preceded in death by his parents, Neal and Bonnie Drum, son Shawn, and his grandparents on both sides
