Gary Allis

Gary Edward Allis, son of Cleo Edward Allis and Marjorie (Allis) Ward passed at Columbus, Nebraska, June 4, 2018 at the age of 66 years and 13 days. Gary was born May 22, 1952 at Hamburg, Iowa. He attended Hamburg Public School and Hamburg High, graduating with the class of 1970. He attended Peru State College, graduating in1978 with a BA and BS Degrees in Education. On November 26, 1977 he was united in marriage to Betty Jean Myers. To this union two daughters were born, Barbara Jean and Tamara Lynn. Gary taught school at Heil, Primrose, St. Edward and Rogers in Nebraska. He later worked at Douglas and Lomason and then HyVee in Columbus until he became disabled. Gary enjoyed doing crafts, hunting, fishing and spending time with his family and friends. He was actively involved with his faith, attending the Church of Christ in Columbus.

He leaves to mourn his passing, his daughters: Barbara and Tammy of Columbus, mother: Marjorie (Allis) Ward, sister: Susan Freshman and her husband Rick all of Nebraska City, and good friend: Scott Engel.

Preceding him in death was his father: Cleo Edward Allis, and stepfather: Max J. Ward.
