Fred Petersen died Monday, January 26, 2015 at the Columbus Community Hospital.
Fred was born in Omaha, NE on February 19 1955 to Ervin and Beverly (Bender) Petersen. He graduated from Westside high school. He married Susan Ann Howell on May 3rd 1974 at St. Cecilia Cathedral in Omaha and was a loving father to his three children.
Fred was a loyal employee for Walgreen Drug Stores for twenty years. He opened and managed the stores in Grand Island and Columbus. He was co-owner of Festivals Plus Inc. and Check Services. In 1992 Fred started Top Score Amusement and helped establish the Heartland Pool Tournament and the Junior Pool League. He loved to play pool and especially loved to teach the juniors. Fred's health forced him to retire in 2008.
Fred was a devoted husband and father. He taught his boys a good work ethic and that playing hard but fair was important. He enjoyed traveling with the family and loved to play cards. Fred was especially proud of his part in the building of his house. His greatest joy was to gather around with his family.

Sister: Debbie (Tom) Kolosik of Kansas City, KS
Grandchildren: Alexis, Jasmine and Mike
Nieces and Nephews: Chad, Brenda, Rick and Ryan
He was preceded in death by:
Parents: Ervin and Beverly Petersen
Sisters: Susie Shirley and Rosemary Sexton
