Franklin Dennis "Denny" Young, age 77 of Columbus died Tuesday, October 4, 2011 at the Golden Living Center in Columbus.
Franklin Dennis Young was born April 8, 1934 in Madison, Nebraska to William and Mary (Young) Young. He graduated from Madison High School. He married Phyllis Reigle. They lived in North Bend where they owned and published the North Bend Eagle. He moved to Columbus where he worked at the Telegram as a reporter and photographer. He later worked at Middle-State as a salesman in Columbus. Denny moved to Colorado where he owned a restaurant and bar in Crawford, Colorado. He married Alice Ann Moraine. She passed away in 1975. Denny returned to Nebraska where he married Billie Davenport on December 21, 1984. They lived in Papillion for 11 years. In 1995 they moved to the San Antonio area and in 2006 to the Dallas area. Denny recently returned to Columbus for health reasons. He was an avid outdoorsman, enjoying hunting, fishing and his dogs.
