Frankie C. Brinkman, age 55, of Columbus died Thursday, March 8, 2007 at his home. Funeral services are 10:00 a.m. Monday, March 12, 2007 at the McKown Funeral Home. Pastor Robert Walker will officiate. Visitation is Sunday 5-7 p.m. at the McKown Funeral Home. Visitation will continue Monday morning 9 :00 am until service time at the McKown Funeral Home. Burial will be in the Roselawn Cemetery with military honors by American Legion Hartman Post #84 Honor Guard.
Frankie was born November 21, 1951 in Oregon City, Oregon to Harold and Twila (Armstrong) Brinkman. He lived in Oregon and Columbus where he received his education at the Columbus Public Schools. He served in the United States Army and served overseas in Viet Nam. Following his discharge he moved to Oregon. In 1986 he returned to Columbus. On July 14, 1989 he married Janet Hassebrook in Columbus, Nebraska. He worked at Appleton, Columbus Truck Plaza and owned the Silver Trailer Park.
