Frank died Thursday, January 20, 2011 at the Golden Living Center in Columbus.
Frank L. Knox was born November 3, 1914 in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma to Harvey and Willie (Smith) Knox. He grew up in Ft. Smith, Arkansas. Following high school Frank moved to California where he met Arlene Frey. The couple were married on July 5, 1936 in Los Angeles, California. They lived in California where he worked for Southern Pacific Railroad and Wonder Bread Baking Company. In 1946 they moved to Norfolk, Nebraska where he owned and operated the Nite & Day Cafe in Norfolk. In 1949 the couple moved to Columbus where he established the Husker Steak House until 1985 when he sold it. In 1958 Frank built the Town and Country Motel in Columbus. He was a member of the Elks Club, Restaurant & Liquor Association, Highway 81 Association and the Eagles Club.

Grandson: John Knox of Visailia, CA
Grandson: Tom (Marjorie) Knox of Visailia, CA
