Frank D. Konwinski, Jr., age 85, died Sunday, July 28, 2019 at the Litzenberg Memorial Long Term Care in Central City.
Mass of Christian Burial will be held 10:30 a.m. Thursday, August 1, 2019 at Sts. Peter & Paul Catholic Church - Krakow, rural Genoa, Nebraska. Visitation is 5:00 - 7:00 p.m. Wednesday with a 7:00 p.m. Vigil Service at the church. Visitation continues Thursday morning from 9:30 - 10:30 a.m. also at the church. Burial will be in the Sts. Peter & Paul Cemetery with military honors by Edward H. Larson Post #144 American Legion Honor Guard.
Frank Dennis Konwinski, Jr. was born August 12, 1933 in Fullerton, NE to Frank and Catherine (Beck) Konwinski. He grew up on the family farm west of Silver Creek and attended country school until 8 th grade and then helped his dad on the family farm.
He was drafted into the U.S. Army in 1954. He married Virginia Volnek at St. Anthony Catholic Church in Columbus, NE on August 4, 1956. Frank loved farming and everything John Deere. Over the years he did custom work for fellow neighbors. He loved his polka music and going to dances in his younger years. He also enjoyed scratch off tickets and a lot of trips to the casinos. But his greatest love was his wife Virginia, and his family. He was a member of Sts. Peter and Paul Catholic Church Krakow and the American Legion Post #144 in Genoa.

Sister: Carol (Charlie) Stuart of Columbus, NE
10 Grandchildren and 14 Great-grandchildren
