Frank M. Holmstedt, age 72, of Columbus died Tuesday March 13, 2001 at the Columbus Community Hospital.
A Memorial Service will be held at 11:00 a.m. Monday March 19, 2001 at McKown Funeral Chapel in Columbus with Reverend Dorsie Ivy officiating. There will be no visitation.
Frank M. Holmstedt was born November 26, 1928 in Fullerton, Nebraska to Maurice and Ruth (Whitaker) Holmstedt. He attended school in Genoa. Frank was a Sergeant for the U.S. Army during the Korean War from May 1951 - May 1953. On April 9, 1954 he was united in marriage to Jayne Oehlrich in Lincoln, Nebraska. The couple lived in Columbus where he retired from Bee Line Motor Freight after 27 years. He also was a plant manager for a bottling company in Columbus and worked as a mechanic for Westring's in Genoa.
Frank was a member of the V.F.W. #3704, Hartman Post #84 American Legion, and the Eagles Club.
