Frank T. Dubas of Columbus died Thursday, June 18, 2015 at Brookestone Acres in Columbus.
Frank T. Dubas was born July 4, 1929 in rural western Nance County, NE to Frank and Frances (Shefcyk) Dubas. He attended Mt. Zion District 40 School until he completed the 8th grade. Frank farmed with his family and was united in marriage to Phyllis McKenzie on October 30, 1951 in Wolbach. They farmed and milked dairy cows. In 1968, Frank took a home study course in refrigeration so he could work on his own equipment which eventually led him to starting his own business, Dubas Refrigeration. The family moved to Columbus in 1979 where he worked out of his garage alongside his sons who eventually took over the business, of which he was very proud. Frank remained active running the office on Saturdays until recently. Frank was a man of deep faith. He was a member of St. Anthony Catholic Church where he was a 4th Degree Member of the Knights of Columbus. He loved praying the Rosary, which is a tradition he instilled in his family.
