Frank W. Dee, age 91, of Columbus, Nebraska died Tuesday, March 14, 2006 at the Nebraska Veterans Home in Norfolk, Nebraska. Funeral Services are 9:00 a.m. Saturday, March 18, 2006 at the McKown Funeral Home. Rev. Joseph A. Miksch will officiate. Visitation is Friday 3-5 p.m. at the funeral home. Burial with military honors by American Legion Hartman Post #84 Honor Guard is in the Columbus Cemetery. Memorials may be directed to the family.
Frank W. Dee was born March 1, 1915 in Omaha, Nebraska to Frank and Anna (McCabe) Dee. He received his education in the Hemingford area and was a graduate of the Farm Operators Class of 1933. He served in the U.S. Army Air Corp during WWII from September 1942 - January 1946. He married Audrey Bratthauer-Haas on January 22, 1977 at St. Bonaventure Catholic Church in Columbus. Frank was a life member of the V.F.W. #3704, Life member of the James Barry Post #9 American Legion, Life member of the Elks and was State Commander of the American Legion from 1969-1970. He served on the Selective Service Board in Box Butte County for several years.

Step son: Rick (Patty) Haas of Columbus, NE
Step son: Raleigh (Kathy) Haas of McCook, NE
and eight grandchildren

Sister: Dorothy Newman
