Francis died Wednesday, April 13, 2016 at the Brookestone Acres in Columbus.
Francis J. "Tick" Rueb was born March 22, 1926 in Dodge City, Kansas to John and Augusta (Schmidt) Rueb. He married Dorothy Vogel on April 16, 1947 in Dodge City. The couple lived and farmed in Stratton, Colorado until moving to Columbus in 1956. Francis was a machinist and worked for Habco Manufacturing, Behlen Manufacturing and Industrial Engineering Company until retiring in 2001. He was a member of St. Anthony Church where he volunteered as an usher, Holy Name Society and the Knights of Columbus. Francis loved and played semi-pro baseball for the Burlington, Colorado Merchants for several years. His hobbies in later years were ballroom dancing and playing the piano.
