Francis A. Harms was born June 17, 1930 in Hooper, Nebraska to August and Louise (Reveillac) Harms. He graduated from Hooper High School in1947 and received his bachelor's degree from Wayne State College in 1956. Francis served in the U.S. Air Force during the Korean War from March 1949 – October 1951. Francis was a teacher in Michigan for 6 years and then in Columbus for 13 years.

He is survived by:

Daughter: Kelli (Mark Hazen) Wurdinger of Omaha, NE
4 Grandchildren
Sister: Janice Irwin of Arizona
