Frances Jarecke

Frances K. Jarecke, age 94, of Columbus,Nebraska died Friday, August 5, 2005 at Beverly Health Care in Columbus. Funeral services are10:30 am Tuesday, August 9, 2005 at St. Isidore Catholic Church in Columbus with the Rev. Jeff Loseke officiating. Burial will be at 2:00 pm Tuesday at St. Peter's Cemetery in Fullerton. Visitation begins on Monday after 4:00 pm at McKown Funeral Home followed by a Vigil service at 7:00 pm, also at the funeral home. Visitation continues on Tuesday from 8:00 -10:00 am at McKown Funeral Home.

Frances K. Jarecke was born December 7, 1910 in Fullerton, Nebraska to Frank and Balbina (Tarnick) Podraza. She grew up in Fullerton and attended schools in Krakow. Frances married Walter Jarecke in 1931 at Ss. Peter & Paul Church in Krakow. The couple lived and farmed in the Fullerton area until Walter passed away. Frances moved to Columbus in 1991. She was a homemaker and enjoyed making lap robes and playing cards. She was member of St. Isidore Church in Columbus, Christian Mothers and CDA. Frances was a past member of St. Peter's Church in Fullerton where she was active in a prayer group and St. Ann's.
