Frances died Sunday, May 25, 2014 at the Countryside Home in Madison, Nebraska.

Frances R. Gablenz was born February 9, 1921 in rural Duncan, Nebraska to Stephen and Sophia (Kuta) Duracinski. She attended St. Anthony Grade School and St. Bonaventure High School in Columbus. Frances married Clarence "Bud" Gablenz on May 20, 1940 at St. Anthony Catholic Church in Columbus. She was a member of St. Bonaventure Church for over 70 years where she served with the Womens Guild and Perpetual Adoration.

She is survived by:
Son: Donald Gablenz of Duncan Lakes
Daughter: Lois (Lyle) Backes of Westfield, IN
Son: Robert Gablenz of Columbus, NE
Son: Tom (Mary) Gablenz of Cheyenne, WY
Brother: Clarence "Whitey" (Maxine) Duracinski of Ralston, NE
Nine Grandchildren
Twenty Great Grandchildren

She was preceded in death by:
Parents: Stephen and Sophia Duracinski
Husband: Clarence "Bud" Gablenz
Sister: Helen Ernst
Brother-in-law: Albert Ernst
Nephew: Lee Duracinski
