Florine died Monday, June 24, 2013 at Meridian Gardens in Columbus.
Florine Bond was born October 30, 1918 to James and Amelia Von der Lieth Edmison of Columbus, Nebraska. She was the youngest of four children. She graduated from Silver Creek High School in 1935. Florine received her normal teaching certificate and taught in rural schools for five years. In 1942 she married Louis Zelasney. Florine worked at various jobs in Washington, California and Nebraska while Louis served in the army. She later got her Bachelors Degree in Elementary Education from University of Nebraska-Omaha and Masters Degree from the University of Nebraska-Lincoln. She was a principal at North Park School in Columbus. They moved to Everett, Washington where she taught at Jefferson Elementary. Louis died in 1970. Florine married Otto Little in 1974. He died in 1982. Florine later married Charles Bond. He died March 11, 2010. They were married for 24 years.
