Florence Weir

Florence Lorraine Weir, 80, of Columbus, died Thursday, May 5, 2011, at Columbus Community Hospital.

In her words...
Ready or not. I knew that someday it would all come to an end. There will be no more sunrises, no minutes, hours or days. All the things I collected, whether treasured or forgotten, will pass to someone else. So what will matter? How will the value of my days be measured? Not what I got, but what I gave. What will matter is not my memories, but the memories that live in those who loved me. What will matter is how long I will be remembered by whom and for what. Living a life that matters doesn't happen by accident. It's not a matter of circumstance, but of choice. I chose to live a life that mattered.

Florence Lorraine (Leacock) Weir was born July 8, 1930 to John and Edith Leacock in Lincoln, Nebraska. She was united in marriage to S. Edwin Weir Jr. on December 21, 1950. She loved spending time with her family, theatre, music, and doing puzzles.
