Florence T. Schmidt of Columbus died Friday, November 15, 2024, at Brookestone Acres in Columbus.

Mass of Christian Burial is 10:30 am Tuesday, November 19, 2024, at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Platte Center. There will be a vigil service at 5:00 p.m. Monday with visitation to follow until 8:00 p.m. all at the church. Burial is in St. Joseph and Patrick cemetery.

Florence T Schmidt was born October 14th, 1932, to John and Victoria (Starostka) Dush in Duncan, NE. She attended St. Stanislaus Catholic school and graduated from Duncan high school. Florence worked as a secretary at Dale Electronics. She was united in marriage to Richard Schmidt on January 10th, 1956, at Saint Stanislaus Church in Duncan. They farmed and raised livestock with their sons until retirement. Florence was active in her church where she served as Saint Ann's Sodality officer and taught CCD.

Florence enjoyed being with her family and friends, playing cards, travel, needle work and bowling.
