Florence Kolm, age 91 of Columbus, died Thursday, April 2, 2026 at Brookestone Acres in Columbus.
Mass of Christian Burial is 10:30 am Monday, April 6th at St. Bonaventure Catholic Church. Visitation is on Monday morning from 9:30 am until service time at the church. Interment is in St. Bonaventure Cemetery.
Florence Kolm was born May 25,1934 in Columbus to Fred and Victoria (Koziol) Kolm. She was raised in Columbus and graduated from Columbus High School in 1953. Florence was one of the first employees at the Columbus Theater working in the candy shop. Florence went on to work as a Secretary to the President at Consumers Public Power, later Nebraska Public Power District from 1953-1993.
Florence was a member of St. Bonaventure Church where she previously was the Secretary of the Ladies Guild, served as an EME, and secretary of the Parish Council. She did lots of volunteer work. Florence worked as a member of the Hospital Auxiliary, worked in the gift shop, and was a member of the VFW and the Eagles Auxiliary. Florence loved movies and playing cribbage.
