Felix Tomasiewicz of Columbus died Wednesday, July 23, 2014 at his home at Meridian Gardens.
Felix Tomasiewicz was born September 17, 1938 in rural Boone County, near St. Edward, NE to Henry and Stella (Stach) Tomasiewicz. Felix attended several rural schools and after moving to Platte County, he graduated from St. Michael's Catholic School in Tarnov, NE in 1951. Felix started farming with his father and brother near Tarnov and also worked as a hired hand for a few years. Felix entered the Army National Guard in 1956 and served for 6 years. On April 15, 1961, he was united in marriage to Maxine Zelazny at St. Lawrence Church in Silver Creek, NE. Felix and Maxine lived and farmed west of Tarnov until retiring and moving into Columbus. His faith, family, and friends were his priorities in life. In addition, his hobbies included watching NASCAR, playing cards, listening to Polka music, and enjoyed horse racing with his friends. Felix was blessed with many hands on skills and talents in accordance with his love for farming. His unique creativity led to many new designs and gadgets built throughout his life. Felix was a devoted parishioner and steward of St. Michael's Parish in Tarnov.

3 Great Granddaughters: Shelby & Kaley Hemmer and Violet Paladin
