Fairy Raitt, age 98, died Wednesday, September 03, 2025, at David Place in David City.

Graveside services will be held 2:00 p.m. Monday, September 08, 2025, at Pleasant Hill Cemetery in Rising City.

Fairy Elizabeth Raitt was born October 6, 1926, in Creighton, Nebraska to Ernest and Irma (Hofere) Pahl. She grew up in Creighton and graduated from Creighton High School.
While teaching in David City, she went to the roller rink in Ulysses where she met her future husband, Richard (Dick) Raitt. Later, they were united in marriage on December 21, 1947, in David City at the Methodist Church. The couple made their home on the farm near Rising City. To this union, their son, Merlyn, was born.
Fairy lived most of her life on the farm. She enjoyed being a wife and mother. Her hobby was tending to her many cats, and she always kept busy. She also loved putting fresh water out for the deer. They would often stop for a drink, and she loved watching them. Fairy and Dick always had a big garden and enjoyed fresh vegetables.

Siblings: Jim Pahl, Donald Pahl, Leonard Pahl, Dorothy Norwood and Esther Hudson

She is survived by:
Son: Merlyn Raitt
Siblings: Bernice Clodpelter of Kansas City, MO
Lucille Clough of Creighton
Irene Strope of Creighton
Many nieces and nephews
Friends of the family: Clark Goeken and Rose Ann Hayes
