Evelyn "Bess" Mimick of Columbus died Wednesday, October 6, 2010 at Columbus Community Hospital.

Evelyn Mimick was born December 13, 1922 in Columbus, Nebraska to John and Anna (Sutko) Niedzwiecki. She was a graduate of Clarks High School. Evelyn married Clarence Mimick on March 18, 1944 at St. Rose of Lima Catholic Church in Genoa. She was employed at JCPenny's for 19 years where she managed the baby department. She retired in 1986. Evelyn was a member of St. Isidore Catholic Church and the Christian Mothers. She loved listening and dancing to Polka music, playing cards, gardening and traveling.
