Evelyn Lueke

Evelyn M. Lueke, 78, of Columbus died Monday, January 21, 2002 at St. Elizabeth's Hospital in Lincoln. Services are 10:30 am on Wednesday, January 23, 2002 at St. Bonaventure Catholic Church with the Rev. Tom Weisbecker officiating. Visitation will be on Tuesday from 3-9 pm at McKown Funeral Home with at Vigil service at 7 pm. Visitation will continue on Wednesday from 8-10 am at McKown Funeral Home. Burial is in the Calvary Cemetery in rural Columbus.

Evelyn M. Lueke was born December 13, 1923 in Columbus to Frank & Lillian (Berney) Dietz. She lived her entire life in Columbus. She graduated from St. Bonaventure School in 1941 and attended Business College in Omaha. On February 14, 1946 she married Milton Lueke at St. Bonaventure Church. She worked for Consumer Public Power District for many years. She later worked for the Platte County Court and served as the Clerk of the District Court in Platte County for 12 years. She was an avid football fan and enjoyed dancing.
