Emily Wrubel

Emily Theresa Wrubel of Columbus died Tuesday, April 29 at Columbus Community Hospital.

Emily Theresa Wrubel was born April 18, 1928 in Nance County to Joseph and Mary (Moritz) Czarnick. She grew up in Nance County and attended schools there. On January 21, 1942 she was united in marriage to Steve Wrubel at Krakow. Emily raised her family and worked at Dales, Wunderlichs, Columbus Manor, and Columbus Public Schools for 22 years. She was a member of St. Bonaventure Church and the Ladies Guild. Emily loved polka music and dancing, baking, playing cards with her card club, and taking care of her garden and flowers. She especially loved spending time with her grandchildren and great grandchildren.

Daughter Diane (Bill) Wallin of Hastings
Son Robert Wrubel of Columbus
3 Grandchildren Tara (Brian) Trofholz of Omaha, Nathan (Missy) Smolek of Columbus, and Kristin Wrubel of Lincoln
3 Great Grandsons Ryan Smolek, Colby Smolek, and Treyson Trofholz
