Ellen Brockman

Ellen Brockman, age 76, of Rockport, Texas died Thursday May 15, 2003 at a hospital in Corpus Christi, Texas. Funeral Services are 10:30 a.m. Tuesday May 20, 2003 at McKown Funeral Home with Reverend Larry Adams officiating. Burial is in the St. Joseph Cemetery rural Bellwood, Nebraska. Visitation is 4:00p.m. - 8:00 p.m. Monday and 9:00 a.m. - 10:30 a.m. Tuesday all at McKown Funeral Home.

Ellen Brockman was born February 18, 1927 in Kimball, South Dakota to John & Eva (Meis) Ryan. The family moved to Columbus in 1942. Ellen graduated from Kramer High School in 1945. She lived in Grand Island and worked at the court house until returning to Columbus and working for Becton-Dickinson. On January 14, 1988 Ellen was united in marriage to Virgil Brockman. She had been a resident of the Rockport area for eleven years and was a member of the First Baptist Church in Rockport where she was active in the Sunday School Program. Ellen loved gardening and volunteered at the Good Samaritan Center in Rockport. She was loved by her family and friends.
