Elizabeth "Betty" Peterson of Hartington, formerly of Columbus died Wednesday, January 11, 2012 at the Golden Living Center in Hartington.

Elizabeth "Betty" Peterson was born September 24, 1928 in Columbus to Adam and Vera (Sobush) Marsolek. Grew up in Columbus where she attended St. Anthony Grade School and Columbus High School. On October 30, 1948 she was united in marriage to Marion Dusty Peterson at St. Anthonys. Betty worked for Becton-Dickinson for the majority of her life. Following her retirement from Becton-Dickinson, Betty worked in the lunch program for Centennial Grade School. In 2008, Betty moved to the Golden Living Nursing Home in Hartington, NE. Betty loved to dance, play cards, attend grandchildrens activities, watching baseball, and attending Nebraska football games.

She is survived by:
Daughter: Patti (fiance Dewey Bates) Loeffler of Yankton, SD
Son: Gary (Jackie) Peterson of Omaha
Daughter Connie Peterson of Columbus
Son: Rick (Camielle) Peterson of West Des Moines, IA
10 Grandchildren
8 Great Grandchildren

She is preceded in death by:
Husband Marion "Dusty" Peterson
Parents
Infant Daughter Debbie Peterson
