Elizabeth Moore

Elizabeth C. Moore, age 99, of Columbus, Nebraska died Friday, August 25, 2006 at Morys Haven in Columbus. Funeral Services are 10:30 a.m. Tuesday, August 29, 2006 at St. Bonaventure Catholic Church in Columbus with Reverend Dave Fulton officiating. Graveside Services will be 2:00 p.m. Tuesday at the St. Anthony Cemetery in Cedar Rapids. Visitation is 4:00 - 8:00 p.m. Monday with a 7:00 p.m. Vigil Service at McKown Funeral Home. Visitation continues Tuesday morning from 8:00 - 10:00 a.m. also at the funeral home.

Elizabeth Cecilia Moore was born January 19, 1907 in Cedar Rapids, Nebraska to William and Ann (Fassbender) Yilk. On January 23,1928 she married Ilo Moore at St. Anthony Catholic Church in Cedar Rapids, Nebraska. They farmed near Cedar Rapids until retiring and moving to Columbus. Elizabeth was a homemaker and worked for Jackson Laundry Service in Columbus. She also worked in the kitchen at the Columbus Hospital. Elizabeth was a member of St. Bonaventure Catholic Church. She loved flowers, crocheting, playing bingo and cards.
