Elizabeth &Quot;Betty&Quot; Christensen

Elizabeth Ann "Betty" Christensen died on Friday, March 11, 2016 at her home in Columbus.

Betty was born in Platte County on January 1, 1945 to Jerome and Odilia (Mausbach) Macken. She graduated from Platte Center High School and married Timothy Dee Christensen at St. Josephs in Platte Center on June 20, 1964. The couple lived in Tarnov and owned Corner Bar before moving to Columbus in 1995. Betty was employed by Lindsay Mfg., Emerson Electric/Appleton and Wal-Mart. She enjoyed family events, camping trips, traveling, sewing crafts, and cooking the holiday meals.

Betty and Tim recently celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary traveling to garage sales, dollar stores, thrift shops, the Junk Jaunt and visiting a casino or two.
