Eleanor Bruckner

Eleanor Bruckner, age 88, of Platte Center, Died Saturday, October 24, 2014 at Bryan LGH-East in Lincoln.


Eleanor was born September 8, 1927 in Platte Center, Nebraska to Fred and Alma (Kluever) Krueger. She grew up in Platte Center and graduated from Platte Center High School. Following high school she worked in California for a year before returning. She married Mark "Norman" Bruckner on January 21, 1948 at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Platte Center. Along with raising her family she worked at Platte Center Produce and in later years at Bruckners Store. She was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church. She enjoyed quilting, needle work, cooking and visiting with family and friends.

Eleanor is survived by:
Daughter: Norma (Larry) Gehring of Platte Center
Daughter: Mary (Ken) Bernt of Columbus
Son: Jerome (Sandra) Bruckner of Yutan
Son: Dale Bruckner of Platte Center
6 Grandchildren and 10 great grandchildren

She was preceded in death by parents: Fred and Alma Krueger, husband: Mark "Norman", brothers: LeRoy and Arlie Krueger.
