Elaine Paczosa

Elaine Paczosa, age 84, died Wednesday, October 25, 2023, at Brookestone Acres in Columbus.

Mass of Christian Burial is 10:30 a.m. Thursday, November 2, 2023, at St. Lawrence Catholic Church in Silver Creek. There will be a 5:00 p.m. vigil service Wednesday at the church with visitation to follow until 7:00 p.m. Burial is at St. Stanislaus Cemetery in Duncan.

Elaine Ann Paczosa was born September 3, 1939, in Clarks to Alex and Mary (Yrkoski) Kula.  She attended school at St. Peter and Paul church in Krakow.  She graduated from Silver Creek High School.  Elaine was united in marriage to Tony Paczosa on September 30, 1961, in Krakow.   They lived in Elba and Spalding before returning to Silver Creek.

Elaine was a long-time member of the St. Lawrence Altar Society and American Legion Post #263 Auxiliary. Elaine enjoyed playing cards, listening to polka music and collecting porcelain dolls. She loved baseball as well as cheering on the Huskers, especially the volleyball team. She enjoyed fishing and earned multiple Master Angler awards. She was a very accomplished Avon representative, winning numerous honors.

Elaine enjoyed traveling with Tony, especially to Branson.  They traveled to many polka dances.

Elaine truly cherished her family and friends.  She was incredibly proud of her children and had a very special place in her heart for each of her grandchildren.   Her presence will be immensely missed.

Brothers: Eugene (Geri) Kula and Edwin Kula
Grandchildren: Alyssa (Matt) Lutz and Jacob Clark; Melina and Estefano Rivera; Logan (Shelbi) Sperling and Zak Anderson; Justin and Lindsi Hughes; Joey and Jacob Plugge; Ashley (Ben) Armstrong and Heather (Trent) Omer; Hadlee Eden
