Elaine Osantowski

July 30, 1946 — November 15, 2016

Elaine Ann Osantowski, 70, passed away peacefully at her home with her family by her side.

Elaine was born July 31, 1946 to Henry and Mary (Bourek) Hledik in Stanton County and raised in Madison; she was also the youngest of 7 children. She attend Country School and Madison High School, she had various jobs. She married Edward F (Doc) Osantowski on January 4, 1969 at Saint Leonard's Church in Madison. Her children and grandchildren were the passion of her life, she was very proud of all of them.

She enjoyed many activities including embroidering, crocheting, reading, gardening, puzzles and going to rummage sales, and watching old westerns movies. She loved Elvis Presley and cats, and collected memorabilia and figurines of both. She enjoyed attending her grandchildrens activities whether school concerts or baseball games. She enjoyed riding motorcycles with her family and friends and was a lifetime member of H.O.G. Elaine was a member of St. Anthony Catholic Church.

Elaine is survived by her loving husband of 47 years Edward, her children- Susan Osantowski and companion Shawn Neal, Jane (Charles) Quail, Eric Osantowski, and Ann Johannes all of Columbus. Grandchildren Winter Hermsen of Columbus, Jonathan Hermsen of Omaha, Andrew and Autumn Quail and Cole and Rayn Johannes, all of Columbus. Brother Ken(Betty) Hledik, sisters Betty (Ervin) Heesacker of Columbus, Darlene Johnson of Farmington, MN and Evelyn Godel of Lancaster, CA, brother in laws, Ernie Osantowski and companion Nancy, Leo (Tami) Osantowski all of Bellwood, and Francis (Donna) Osantowski of Columbus, sister in law, Marg Kitt of David City and many nieces and nephews.

She is preceded in death by her Parents and in-laws Edward A and Marie Osantowski, brothers Donald and Alvin and four nephews.
