Elaine F. Kresha

Elaine died Saturday, February 25, 2017 at the Columbus Community Hospital.

Elaine F. Kresha was born May 29, 1936 in Columbus, Nebraska to Frank and Pauline (Dolc) Kneifel. She attended Williams Grade School and St. Bonaventure Grade School. Elaine graduated from St. Bonaventure High School in 1954. She married Martin "Doc" Kresha on June 14, 1960 at St. Bonaventure Catholic Church in Columbus. The couple made their home on a farm in Polk County. Elaine received her Bachelor of Science Degree in Education from Kearney State College in 1982 and Her Masters Degree in Education from Kearney State in 1989. She taught school in Silver Creek for 7 years and later taught at St. Isidore School in Columbus for a total of 22 years. Elaine enjoyed writing poetry and travelling. She was the editor of the Kresha Kronicle (a family newsletter) for over 10 years. Elaine was a member of St. Stanislaus Church, C.D.A. where she held various offices and the Mother of Twins Club.
