Eileen died Friday, January 11, 2013 at the Brookstone Village Nursing Home in Omaha, Nebraska.
Eileen Margaret Hughes was born February 4, 1919 in Currie, Minnesota to Arthur and Emma (Kass) Gervais. She was raised in Tracy, Minnesota and graduated from high school in 1937. Eileen worked as a teller and stenographer at Tracy Bank after graduation. On August 9, 1941 she was united in marriage to Virgil W. Hughes in Tracy, Minnesota. The couple lived in San Francisco, California for 3 years where Virgil was a Warrant Officer in the Marine Corps. They then made various moves while he worked for the Penney Company. Eileen lived in Columbus until moving to Omaha. She was a member of St. Bonaventure Church, Catholic Daughters and the Christian Mothers.
