Edward Woodward

Edward J. Woodward, age 86, of Columbus, died Tuesday, February 7, 2017 at the Columbus Community Hospital.

Edward J. Woodward was born December 1, 1930 in St. Libory, Nebraska to Leo and Alberta (Boyle) Woodward. He graduated from St. Libory High School. Ed served in the U.S. Navy from 1951-1955. On October 19, 1957 Ed was united in marriage to Rose Marie Berggren at St. Libory, Nebraska. Ed lived in Grand Island before moving to Columbus where he worked for Roberts Dairy for several years. He then worked as a UPS driver until his retirement. Ed enjoyed his family, gardening, dogs, spending time at the cabin and his church activities. Ed was active at St. Bonaventure Church where he served as an usher and as an acolyte for funeral masses. He was a member of the Knight of Columbus 4th Degree.

He was preceded in death by his wife: Rose "Rosie" Marie Woodward
