Edward Kubicek Jr, age 69 of Columbus, died Wednesday, March 25, 2026, at Lakeside Hospital in Omaha.

Mass of Christian Burial is 10:30 a.m. Monday, March 30, 2026 at St. Bonaventure Catholic Church. Visitation is Sunday 3:00-5:00 p.m., followed by a 5:00 p.m. Vigil service at McKown Funeral Home. Interment is in St. Bonaventure Catholic Cemetery.

Edward John Kubicek Jr. was born October 21, 1956 in Columbus, NE to Edward and Lucille (Boswell) Kubicek. Ed was born and raised in Columbus but moved to Beatrice and attended school for 8 years. He returned to Columbus and lived with his parents. Most recently, he was living in Omaha.

He enjoyed watching scary movies, playing music, collecting watches, spending time with his family, shopping and going to eat. Edward was always happy and had a smile for everyone.

Brother- Danny Kubicek

Sister- Sandra Kay Jacobson (James)
