Edward Benes

Edward (Eddie) Benes, age 96 died Thursday October 24, 2019 at Azria Health Montclair in Omaha Nebraska.

Memorial Services will be 11:00 a.m. Monday November 04, 2019 at St. Isidore Catholic Church in Columbus with Father Joe Miksch officiating. Burial is in the All Saints Cemetery following the service and a luncheon will be held at Wunderlich's Catering after the burial.

Eddie Benes was born January 27, 1923 in Dodge County Nebraska to Joseph and Antonia (Vach) Benes. Eddie was united in marriage to Darlene Kumm. They farmed near Scribner Nebraska for many years. Besides farming, Eddie was a jack of all trades and did carpentry work for neighbors and friends. Eddie is well known for using scrap metal, wood and various materials to make various yard ornaments as well as buggies to be pulled by his horses.  Eddie had a passion for working with and training horses which he would use to pull his buggies in several area small town parades. Eddie enjoyed family visits on the farm with his two daughters, five grandchildren and five great grandchildren. Eddie could tell the best stories, loved to joke around and was instantly liked by all who met him.

Daughter: Jean Ladenburger of Omaha, NE
4 Grandchildren and 5 Great Grandchildren
