Edna R. Hiller, age 90, of Bellwood, Nebraska died Saturday, December 9, 2006 at the Butler County Health Care Center in David City, Nebraska. Funeral Services are 10:00 a.m. Wednesday, December 13, 2006 at St. Peter's Catholic Church in Bellwood with Reverend Scott Courtney officiating. Visitation is 3:00 - 5:00 p.m. Tuesday at McKown Funeral Home in Columbus and after 6:30 p.m. Tuesday with a 7:00 p.m. Vigil Service at St. Peter's Church. Visitation continues Wednesday morning from 9:00 - 10:00 a.m. also at the church. Burial is in the St. Peter & St. Mary's/Presentation Cemetery near Bellwood.
Edna Rozella Hiller was born June 28, 1916 in Bellwood, Nebraska to Alfred Gibson and Marie Catherine (Grohman) Peck. She has lived in the Bellwood area all her life. She married Harry Paul Hiller on August 25, 1936. They farmed until Harry's death on August 27, 1948. Edna moved into Bellwood where she worked at the U.S. Post Office as a postal clerk. She then worked at Boyd's Hardware in Columbus. Edna was currently a resident of David Place. She was a member of St. Peter's Catholic Church in Bellwood, the PCCW, the 1980 Bellwood Centennial Committee, the WWTK, Group. She received the Sacristan Award at St. Peters in 1986, Aksarben Good Neighbor Award and was always ready to drive others to daily mass, doctor appointments or any needed errands. She enjoyed gardening and made weekly bouquets for the church every Sunday and Holyday for over forty years.
She is survived by her 3 sons:

Dick (Pat) Hiller of Tucson, AZ
Her daughter: Barbara Trofholz of Bellwood, NE
12 Grandchildren, 8 Great Grandchildren, 2 step great grandchildren
She was preceded in death by her husband, her parents, her only brother: Dr. Don Peck, a daughter-in-law: Lin Sorensen Hiller
