Edgar Anderson

Edgar R. Anderson, age 92, of Columbus, died Friday, March 23, 2018 at the Brookestone Acres in Columbus.

Edgar Ray Anderson was born, May 7, 1925 in rural Monroe to C. Martin and Anne C. (Paulson) Anderson. He grew up in the Monroe area. He married Marcella E. Went on March 17, 1950 in Columbus. They lived on the family farm north of Monroe in the West Chicago Store area. Along with farming Edgar operated at trucking company with his brother, hauling livestock and grain. As a young man he played baseball on the Cornlea Merchants team. Edgar and Marcella moved to Columbus in 1982. He served on the Monroe Township Board and was active in his community. He enjoyed fishing, playing cards, spending time with his family and friends. He also helped Cyril Zoucha with his auction company.

Daughter: Kathryn (Jerry) Jareske of Columbus
Grandson: Ryan (Holly) Jareske of Columbus
Great Grandchildren: Macy, Kaylie and one expected in June
