Ed Niedbalski

Ed died Saturday, December 11, 2010 at the Veterans Hospital in Omaha.

Edward Joseph Niedbalski was born March 15, 1935 in Platte Center, Nebraska to James and Barbara (Liss) Niedbalski. He attended St. Anthony Grade School and St. Bonaventure High School. Ed served in the U.S. Navy from 1952 - 1956. He married Dorothy Molczyk on January 24, 1959 at St. Anthony Catholic Church in Columbus. He later married Cecelia Ann Johnson on November 10, 1990. Ed was employed as a supervisor at Douglas Lomason Company and owned Woodworks Plus where he custom manufactured all types of wood furniture. Ed enjoyed his family and grandchildren, playing cards, wood working and the daily coffee breaks with good friends. He was a member of St. Anthony Church.

His is survived by: daughter Kimberly Niedbalski of Miamisburg, OH; son Todd (Diane) Niedbalski and grandsons Ricky and Justin of Williamsburg, IN; sisters Emily Tiwald and Barbara (Anthony) Incontro of Omaha, NE; Josephine Kielian of Medford, OR; Dorothy Spies of Columbus; brothers Floyd (Helen) Niedbalski, Ted (Marlene) Niedbalski, Walter (Joyce) Niedbalski all of Columbus, NE; sisters-in-law Marge Niedbalski & Myrtle Niedbalski of Omaha, NE; special friend Rose Frerichs; numerous nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents; wife Cecilia Niedbalski; brothers Louis, Dominic, Leo, Ben and Stanley; sister-in-law Eleanor Niedbalski; brothers-in-law Egnac Janulewicz, John Tiwald, Anthony Kielian and Walter Spies.
