E. Ray Wiseman

Earl Ray Wiseman, 85, of Columbus died Thursday, January 3, 2008 at the Golden Living Center in Columbus. Services are 10:30 am Tuesday, January 8 at Grace Episcopal Church with the Rev. Nancy Idenden officiating. Visitation is on Monday from 3-5 pm at McKown Funeral Home and continues on Tuesday from 9:30 until service time at the church. Interment is in Columbus Cemetery with Military Honors by Hartman Post #84 American Legion Honor Guard.

Earl Raymond Wiseman was born January 5, 1922 in Brooklyn, NY to William and Susan (Lacey) Wiseman. He grew up in Brooklyn where he attended schools. Ray went to work for Boeing in Dayton, Ohio before joining the Army Air Corp from 1943 until 1946. Ray was united in marriage to Patricia Ifland in Columbus in 1945. They lived in Columbus where Ray worked as Deputy Sheriff before going to work for Dale Electronics as a pilot. In the mid 1970's Ray worked as the Nebraska State Probation Officer before retiring. Ray was a member of the Air National Guard in Lincoln and in Sioux City, IA. He belonged to Grace Episcopal Church in Columbus and was a member of the American Legion.

Granddaughter Cassondra (Jimmy) Archibald of St. Joseph, MO
Granddaughter Kaitlin Wiseman of Scottsdale, AZ
Grandson Zachary Wiseman of Lindsborg, KS
